ROBERTS. Would like to exchange info on the ROBERTS family of
Hood and Somervell Cos. William Hamby Roberts and wife Rebecca
LANGSTON, of Fayette Co., AL, migrated to Hood Co. shortly after
the Civil War. Moved to Somervell in 1880s. Two of the several
sons named Step Jesse, Robert A., Joseph. William Hamby was a
preacher, son of Thomas C. ROBERTS and grandson of Step ROBERTS
of Rutherford Co., NC.

I'm looking for information on the family of Silas and Sarah CHAMBERS.
She and some of their children appear on the 1860 census at the Comanche
Peak post office. Children were James, Silas, Henry, Asa, William, John,
Job?, Susan Cassandra M-----, Emma Christian Rebecca. The elder Silas,
the father, does not appear on any record I currently have. I know the
family moved from Scott Co., MS, about 1854. They lived near JOhn and
Sarah Wilson CHAMBERS who had also moved from Scott Co. Evidently the two
men, Silas and John, were brothers. Several brothers stayed in MS. Emma
Christian Rebecca married James Franklin HENDRICKS in 1868 in Kaufman Co.
They lived several places, Kaufman Co. and Jones Co. were two, before he
died in 1885 in Johnson Co., according to her Confederate Widow's pension
application. I am interested in finding graves, if they exist, for Silas
and Sarah CHAMBERS and James Franklin HENDRICKS. J.F. and E.C.R. are my
gg-grandparents. SCM Chambers married (1) unknown BRANDON and (2) Samuel
BEEMAN, probably in Kaufman Co.

TANDY. According to my information, William was born in VA in 1814 and
moved to TX about 1845. James was born in 1845 in TX, he was married to
Rebecca Stribling and had two children by her, John and David. John C.
TANDY was my grandfather. I am also looking for information on David H.
KERR born in 1837 in SC. One of his children was Henry J. KERR, my g

I am looking for all ancestors of any BOAT(W)RIGHT'S in and
around Hood, Johnson, and Erath counties. A Boatright in
Florida is writing a book of which I am contributing all TX
census and other info in my on search for TX Boat(w)right's.
My ggggrandfather was Lewis BOATRIGHT who owned land in Erath
and Johnson county. His father was Thomas BOATRIGHT who was one
of Stephen F. Austin's Old Three Hundred. Children of Lewis who
inherited land was Lucy BOATRIGHT LYONS and children of Mary
Boatright Fitchett. Sons were Henry, Levi, William, Willoby and
Thomas. A daughter of Levi BOATRIGHT married in Johnson county,
by the name of Clementine who married a William RASO(RANO).

NEELY - COLLINS
PALO PINTO/HOOD/PARKER/ERATH Counties in Texas. Isaac Newton NEELY,
Nancy COLLINS, Jesse COLLINS, Arthur Vinson NEELY, Charles NEELY. Know
the family of Charles Neely, born 1820's, wife Jane Ann NEWTON, arrived
in this area in the 1850's. Charles was born in Tennessee as was his
first two sons (I.N. and A.V.) Arthur marries Julia A. Robinson. I.N.
and A.V. were children of Charles first wife who the children list as
having been born in Tenn, whereas Jane Ann NEWTON was born in
Arkansas.Possible that the mother's first name was Louisa (both boys name
their first girl Louisa). Any information on these families, where to
verify or refute, would be greatly appreciated.

in about 1851-2 and Frederick married Nancy Deavis. They left Cherokee
county and moved to Erath county. There was also a John Jackson SPARKS
that could have been a close friend that migrated with the ISAACKS and

John was born in 1822 in Georgia and Mary was born in 1832 in

May 1884, in Hood County, Texas. He married #1 Sarah BUTLER;
#2 Elizabeth WOOD. Children were: Wesley, Ariah, Philena
Dodge, James M., Hiram Carroll, Susan, Samantha D., Arthule,
Yemariah (Jeremiah?), and Uriah P. Helm. The family migrated
from Lafayette County, Missouri c1860 or after. This is my
gr-gr-gr-uncle. Would appreciate any information regarding

Laura's mother's name was Sarah Ann ROSSER. I'm trying to find out if
