Corporal Hendricks in Europe

Ken was born in Hood County in 1925; graduated from Granbury High in 1942. He went to Tarleton State College and then on to Texas A&M. During World War II, Ken was drafted into the Army in February 1944 before graduating. He served in a field artillery unit in the 5th Army. In 1947 he was discharged and returned to Texas A&M and joined the Cadet Corps. He graduated with a B.S. Aeronautical Engineering degree and as an officer in the Air Force Reserve. He was called up for the Korean Conflict as a flight engineer and navigator. He remained in the Air Force in various capacities until 1969, retiring as a Lt. Colonel, Director of Engineering Air Force Plan Representatives Office, General Dynamics Airplane Company. He then was with LTV Airplane Company until his retirement in 1989.
