Granbury Pirates (0-4, 0-1in District 8-4A) vs. Arlington Seguin Cougars (0-4, 0-1)
Sam Houston High's Wilemon Stadium
Last week – Granbury lost 24-17 at Timberview after leading 17-0 at the half, Seguin lost 24-10 at Everman, giving up three third-quarter touchdowns after being tied 3-3 at the half.
Last season – Granbury 0-10, 0-7, eighth in district (out of eight teams); Seguin 5-7, 4-3, tied for third in district, advanced to second round of Division I playoffs. Cougars won 40-0 in Granbury.
Returning starters – Granbury 5 offensive/6 defensive, Seguin 4 offensive/4 defensive.
Getting there – Take 377 through Benbrook and get on I-20 East. In Arlington, take 360 North and exit on Arkansas. Go west to Sherry and turn south. The stadium is behind Sam Houston High School on Sam Houston Drive.
Happy Hill Pioneers (1-3) at Walnut Springs Hornets (5-0)
Last week – Greenville Christian defeated Happy Hill 52-0, the third time the Pioneers have given up 50 or more points in a loss. Walnut Springs defeated Jonesboro 56-8, the fourth time they have scored more than 50 this season.
Last season – Happy Hill 2-8; Walnut Springs 9-4, advanced to UIL Six-Man Division II state semifinals. Hornets won 66-21 at Happy Hill.
Returning starters – Happy Hill 2 offensive/2 defensive, Walnut Springs 4 offensive/4 defensive.
Getting there – Take Highway 144 to Glen Rose and turn right on 67. Turn left on Hereford and go to a stop sign. Turn left on Barnard Street. Go to the blinking red light and turn right on 144 South to Walnut Springs. The stadium is on the left.
