Glen Rose woman dies in Somervell County collision on Highway 144

Kara Myers, 22, of Glen Rose, died as a result of a two-vehicle car crash Thursday morning on Highway 144 in Somervell County near Happy Hill Farm school just south of the Hood County line, according to DPS trooper Mitchell Best. Myers' daugher, a female infant, apparently was uninjured and was released from the Glen Rose Medical Center into the care of her father after being examined, Best said. Clint Mathews of Waskom, Texas, the 18-year-old driver of the pickup involved in the accident, was airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital and believed to be in stable condition.
