Certified tax rolls decreasing

City, county and school officials received the bad news this week. Property values are down. The certified tax roll shows a 2.5 percent decrease for the city of Granbury, a 1.7 percent decrease for Hood County and a 1.4 percent decrease for the Granbury school district. The decline could mean taxing entities will receive less income from property taxes if their tax rates remain the same.
