Commissioners agree to drop further pursuit of Gilmore

The Hood County Commissioners Court voted Tuesday night to drop any further legal action against former tax assessor-collector Sandy Tidwell Gilmore, including appealing a federal judge's ruling that the court is not entitled to recoup legal fees. In return, Gilmore will not appeal the judge's dismissal of her lawsuit against the court members. The agreement does not affect the two-count felony indictment of Gilmore for misuse of official information - a charge that stemmed from her alleged actions during an election campaign.
