During this period, I received a Graduate Certificate in Commercial Banking from the American Institute of Banking (equivalent of a Master's Degree for me) in Ft. Worth, Texas.

After leaving the bank in May of 1962, I spent approximately five and one-half years in the livestock and poultry business with Burrus Feed Mill (now Central Soya) covering territories in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. I held the position of Director of Finance and Poultry Feed Sales.
