Local artist Julie White created a painting of Athena Strand, the 7-year-old Wise County girl who tragically lost her life last month.

Local artist Julie White was compelled by a dream to paint a portrait of Athena Strand, the 7-year-old Wise County girl who was tragically killed last month. Through the use of the Hood County Breaking News Facebook page, White was able to get in contact with Strand's family. She said she plans to mail the painting as soon as she is able to find the perfect frame.
