A 41-year-old Granbury man died Saturday, Dec. 10 after his vehicle collided with a car driven by a Crowley woman in the 1700 block of Lipan Highway, according to information from the Granbury Police Department.

Arthur Lee Vossler Jr. of Granbury, who was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, was “found to be deceased at the scene,” according to a news release from GPD Lt. Russell Grizzard. Vossler’s vehicle collided with a 2015 Mercedes S5, driven by Kynan Murray of Crowley, who was transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash was reported to Hood County emergency dispatchers shortly after 3 p.m.

The news release described the crash using information from “witnesses and other evidence,” this way:

“Mr. Vossler turned from Loop 567 onto Lipan Highway northbound. He rapidly accelerated, lost control of the car, and slid into the southbound lane where he collided with Ms. Murray’s car. The impact was to the passenger side of Mr. Vossler’s car and the front end of Ms. Murray’s car.”

The release also noted, “a 15-year-old passenger in Mr. Vossler’s car was transported to a Fort Worth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”
