Granbury woman, 20, pronounced dead at scene of accident

Jazmyne Alyse Williams, a 20-year-old Granbury woman, was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday evening, Aug. 28, in the 5800 block of East U.S. Highway 377, according to an email news release provided by Granbury Police Lt. Russell Grizzard.

Williams of Granbury was a passenger in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 25-year-old Brianna Wright of Granbury, which was westbound, Grizzard stated.

“The Jeep left the roadway and flipped, and a passenger was ejected,” according to Grizzard. “That passenger, 20-year-old Jasmyne Alyse Williams of Granbury, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Ms. Wright was transported to a Fort Worth hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.”
