Construction begins Thursday, July 8 on a project to resurface SH 144 south of Granbury from Bluebonnet Drive to FM 2425 (Mitchell Bend Highway), according to a news release sent Wednesday afternoon.
The six-mile project will consist of pavement milling and repair, and an asphalt overlay to improve the driving surface.
To allow for construction, various lanes will be closed day and night through July, weather permitting. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
