Freddy’s Steakburgers headed to Granbury Lakeside Center

Posted

Been wondering what’s being built on that pad site on the parking lot at Granbury Lakeside Center, where HomeGoods, FiveBelow, and Ulta Beauty are located?

It’s a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers restaurant, according to Granbury Communications Manager Jeff Newpher.

Developers of Granbury Lakeside Center indicated during the planning process with the city an intention for one or more restaurants to occupy the pad sites. The shopping center has been open and occupied for several years.

Freddy’s, which features a festive red as its dominant color, offers 100% premium beef patties with thin, crispy edges and a thicker middle. The hand-crafted burgers aren’t made until they are ordered.

The restaurant also offers all-beef hot dogs and chili dogs, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and, for the health conscious and self-disciplined, veggie burgers.

Sides include fries, cheese fries, onion rings, cheese curds, Lay’s Baked Potato Chips, and Mott’s Natural Applesauce.

And of course, the menu offers a variety of frozen custard treats.

The restaurant chain was founded by Kansas native Freddy Simon, a veteran of World War II and a recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
