McAlister’s Deli coming to former Taco Bueno site

Posted

A McAlister’s Deli will be opening in early December at 1180 E. US Hwy. 377, where Taco Bueno used to be.

McAlister’s is best known for its hand-crafted sandwiches, giant stuffed spuds, soups, salads, and sweet tea. Customers can buy gallon jugs of the tea to take home.

The Granbury location is owned by The Saxton Group, which owns 45 other McAlister’s locations in the Metroplex and other Texas cities.

The dining area will be able to seat up to 50, according to Madison Stevens, a spokesperson for Focus Brands who handles public relations for McAlister’s.

“The restaurant will also feature a pick-up window, allowing guests to drive-thru and retrieve their pre-placed online or mobile order,” she stated in an email to the HCN.

The McAlister’s website, mcalistersdeli.com, features a menu with calorie counts. The chain offers a choice of eight salads, five giant spuds, six soups (including chili and chicken and dumplings) and desserts that include cookies, brownies, and Godiva Double Chocolate Cheesecake.

The menu features six sandwich selections, including the Black Angus Club, Orange Cranberry Club and McAlister’s Club Wrap.

There is a varied kids’ menu, with toasted sandwiches, pizza, Mac & Cheese, and a Chicken and Broccoli Bowl among other items. Sides include chips, applesauce, a fruit cup, potato salad and cucumber and tomato salad.
