Volunteer for 4th of July event in Granbury

Posted

At press time, 34 volunteer slots are still open for the 4th of July event.

One of Granbury’s best attended yearly attractions is the 4th of July Hometown Celebration, with street vendors, a parade, fireworks display and other festivities. The event runs from July 2 to 4, and this year’s theme is “With Liberty and Justice For All.”

The celebration is sponsored by the Granbury Chamber of Commerce and is made possible by the volunteer army that shows up to make it all happen.

Maureen Griffin, the chamber’s general manager, said that this year there is a shortage of volunteers. “There are a total of 75 volunteer slots for the three-day celebration, with 41 currently filled,” Griffin said. That leaves 34 open.

Want to be a part of this festival? Interested volunteers may email the chamber at info@granburychamber.com, call 817-573-1622, or attend the volunteer training meeting to sign up.
