Authorities: Girl driving golf cart sought in hit-and-run

The Hood County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in a hit-and-run on Sunday about 4 p.m. There was an accident at the intersection of Bontura and Bellechase roads in Pecan Plantation involving a golf cart and a female on a bicycle. A blonde teenage female driving a light or royal blue golf cart hit the cyclist and continued down Bellechase without stopping. The cyclist sustained numerous bruises and had to have several stitches on her hand. If you have any information as to the identity of the blonde teenage female driving the golf cart or the location of the golf cart, call investigator Toby Fries at 817-579-3318, ext. 7611 or Crime Stoppers at 817-573-TIPS and you can remain anonymous.
