'Best Historic Small Town' plaque to be unveiled; 2nd honor coming?

Thursday, June 18, 2020

A plaque denoting Granbury as the "Best Historic Small Town in America," an honor won through an online voting contest last year sponsored by USA Today, will be unveiled on the square at 9 a.m. Friday. The plaque is already in place between the Granbury Opera House and the St. Helen's building, but it will remain covered until the unveiling ceremony. Voting is currently underway for this year's contest, and Granbury is again in the running. The public can vote once a day through multiple devices through noon Eastern Time on Monday, June 29.
