COVID cases spike in Hood County; "numerous" hospitalizations

Hood County is seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases with active cases in healthcare facilities, government offices, childcare facilities, nursing homes and other county businesses, resulting in "numerous current hospitalizations," according to Hood County Public Health Authority Dr. David Blocker. The number of active cases was 23 as of noon Thursday, according to Blocker, up eight from Wednesday's count of 15. Last Saturday, the number of active cases in the county was seven.
