Francis, Andrews, Wilson lead in early voting
In early vote totals for Hood County in the Republican primary election runoff, Cisco small businessman Jon Francis is leading over Palo Pinto rancher and veterinarian Glenn Rogers in the House District 60 race. Francis received 58.79% of the early vote (3,003 ballots) to Rogers' 41.21% (2,105 ballots). In the Precinct 1 race for the Hood County Commissioners Court, Kevin Andrews received 53.40% (440 votes) to David Cook's 46.60% (384). The hotly contested match-up between current state Rep. Mike Lang and Governor's Medal of Courage winner Jack Wilson for the Precinct 3 commissioner seat has Wilson with a strong lead over Lang with 63.69% of the early vote to Lang's 36.31%. That translates to 1,200 ballots for Wilson and 684 for Lang.
