Sheriff’s office deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 5100 block of Old Granbury Road on Monday about 1 a.m. Deputies located Salvador Enrique Castillo Jr., 28, inside the residence without the owner’s permission, according to sheriff’s office Public Information Officer Lt. Johnny Rose.

Castillo is accused of trying to steal property by breaking a window to gain entry. The glass breaking woke the homeowner who called 911, Rose said. Deputies discovered that Castillo allegedly gained entry into a car at a bar in the 200 block of M&M Ranch Road and removed several pieces of identifying information. Castillo is also accused of being intoxicated during the incident.

Castillo was arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation, possession of identifying information, burglary of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.
