Wednesday, July 10, 2019

Pecan Plantation firefighters in a boat rescued two females who were clinging to a tree in the Brazos River after their kayak flipped Wednesday afternoon, Hood County Deputy Fire Marshal Casey Weaver said. Weaver said the woman and younger female were not injured. The incident occurred near the Pecan Plantation bridge, not far from where a woman died on Memorial Day weekend after her canoe overturned.
