No reports of blue-green algae in Lake Granbury

Tuesday, August 13, 2019

While algae issues have not been reported at Lake Granbury, dog deaths across the country have been linked to toxic blue-green algae this summer in various bodies of water. Blue-green algae can live in any freshwater, but has never been detected at Lake Granbury, reports Jenna Olson, Environmental Programs Coordinator for the Brazos River Authority. Green algae is the dominant algae at Lake Granbury, she said.
