Rogers wins District 60 runoff
Palo Pinto rancher and veterinarian Glenn Rogers has won the Republican runoff for the House District 60 seat being vacated by Granbury's Mike Lang, garnering 51.5% of the district-wide vote to Cisco businessman Jon Francis' 48.5%. The vote total for Rogers was 11,956, and the total for Francis was 11,278. Rogers faces no Democrat on the November ballot. Although Rogers emerged the victor in the hotly contested race, Hood County voters favored Francis, giving him 58.52% of the vote (4,954 ballots) to Rogers' 41.48% (3,511).
