Second COVID-19 case reported in Hood County
A second Hood County resident has tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to Hood County Public Health Authority Dr. David Blocker. "The person was tested 10 days ago at Lakeside Physicians following overseas travel and developing fever and respiratory symptoms consistent with COVID-19," Blocker stated in a press release. Results were received today, he said, and the patient and "family contacts" remain isolated. No other details about the person was provided. The first positive test result on a Hood County individual was announced Wednesday. That person is in their 50's and recently returned from an overseas cruise. They, too, were tested at Lakeside Physicians. The county is currently under a shelter in place order.
