Sheriff doesn't expect flooding

Friday, June 7, 2019

The Brazos River is on a roll, but Sheriff Roger Deeds believes that residents in low-lying areas on the north end of Lake Granbury will not suffer any flooding. He said the Brazos River Authority has been doing an "outstanding job" of balancing the flow between Possum Kingdom and Lake Granbury dams. Possum Kingdom opened a third gate Thursday night because recent rains filled PK to near the top of the dam, the sheriff said.
