Used car dealer, son charged in shooting
A Granbury used car dealer and his son turned themselves in after warrants were issued for their arrest in connection with a shooting in January.
Ronald Thomas Pruitt, 58, owner of Pruitt Auto Sales, and his son, Blake Thomas Pruitt, 37, were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The incident happened on Jan. 22 at the dealership on Highway 377 East.
The victim, Brendon Scott Gilleland, 25, was shot in the shoulder with a handgun. His injuries were not life threatening, police said. It’s unclear why the man was shot because law authorities aren’t saying much.
