Monday, January 13, 2020

Hood County's Jack Wilson has been awarded the Governor's Medal of Courage, the highest award bestowed by the governor on a civilian. The ceremony took place at the Governor's Mansion Monday morning. Wilson shot and killed an armed man who opened fire during church services last month at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, killing two church members. Wilson stopped the carnage within six seconds.
