A message from BRA, LAKE GRANBURY

The Brazos River Authority at Lake Granbury. At 10:15 a.m. on June 7th, gates were opened for a total release of 21,320 cubic feet per second. Be alert for rising water conditions in the Brazos River. Communities along the Brazos River in Hood, Somervell, Johnson, Bosque and Hill Counties may be affected. Increased inflow may cause additional gates to be opened. For more information concerning gate releases, please go to the B.R.A website at www.brazos.org or the B.R.A. social media accounts. Actual flood conditions may vary significantly from the alert based on new or changed conditions; advanced alerts of changed conditions may not be possible. If you are concerned about flooding or the potential for evacuations, contact your county or local sheriff’s offices. To determine the level of potential flooding forecast for your area, please go to the West Gulf River Forecast Center website at www.weather.gov/wgrfc.
