Caleb Prince honored by YMCA as 2021 Volunteer of the Year

The Hood County YMCA honored Hood County resident Caleb Prince as its 2021 Volunteer of the Year.

Prince received a trophy designating the honor during the 132nd annual YMCA Celebration Luncheon held at Palmwood Events Center in downtown Fort Worth on June 7.

A news release sent to the HCN from Carolanne Dunaway, associate executive director of the Hood County YMCA, stated that, “Caleb committed to coach the basketball team, soccer team, and assist with the swim team with practices and meets. Caleb has a great understanding and passion for the Y. While leading multiple teams of co-ed youth, Caleb encouraged his teams to show drive, determination and respect. Caleb rallies for the youth in our community. He is determined to provide and excellent experience for the boys and girls on his teams.”

Dunaway also noted that “Caleb has sought out other needs and helped through the facility where he saw fit. We appreciate his goal in moving our mission, ‘To put Christian principles into practice through programs that support a healthy spirit, mind and body.’”
