County receives 1,500 doses of Moderna vaccine

Heads up: 1,500 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine have arrived in Hood County, which is now considered a region al hub for vaccine distribution.
Registration is open to those who fit in the 1A and 1B distribution category.
Those categories include: first responders; home health workers; emergency room and medical personnel; last responders; pharmacy workers; school nurses; long-term care residents; those 65 and older; and those who are 16 or older with at least one chronic medical condition, including pregnancy.
The Moderna vaccine requires two doses. That particular vaccine is given only to those 18 and older.
