Posted

A Granbury man accused of shooting a firearm at two people during an Aug. 11 argument in the Oak Trail Shores subdivision was arrested last Friday, Aug. 13 by Hood County Sheriff’s Office deputies during a traffic stop, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.

Javier Diaz, a 22-year-old Granbury resident, was taken into custody at about 4 p.m. Aug. 13 on three felony warrants after the traffic stop, at the intersection of Edgecliff Court and Lakeview Road in OTS, Rose noted.

“The charges stem from Diaz allegedly shooting at two people at the 3200 block of Ashwood Dr. in OTS on (Aug. 11) during an argument,” Rose stated in an email. “No one was injured of shot during the incident.”

Diaz was released from the Hood County Jail on Aug. 15 after posting a total bond of $50,000. He is charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon ($20,000 bond each) and tampering with evidence ($10,000 bond).

Rose stated that a motive that may have led to the incident is not yet known.
