Posted

Hood County Emergency Management Coordinator Jay Webster’s weekly COVID-19 report, issued Thursday afternoon, showed three new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 204, but fewer active cases and local hospitalizations.

The number of active cases was 145. One week earlier, it was 229.

Seven people were hospitalized locally due to COVID-19 at the time Webster issued his update.

Lake Granbury Medical Center’s ICU was back to having beds available. Seventy-five percent of the ICU’s beds were in use, with 22.22% of those beds occupied by patients who were COVID-19 positive.

Only 11.32% of LGMC’s hospital capacity was COVID-19 positive.

The county is still considered at a high risk of COVID-19 transmission.
