Created For A Purpose
Do we ever wonder how we came to live in this quaint town situated in the beautiful and verdant hills of North Texas? This place where we are graced each day as we drive along the gently flowing and sparkling waters of Lake Granbury. Do we take time to watch as the sun shines upon the waters causing flickers of light to jump and pop as if they are dancing to Beethoven’s 5th? Have we waited beside the river hoping to see a large fish crash through the top of the water seeking the plethora of bugs floating and moving on top of the glistening waves? Do we take time to view the grandeur before our eyes in the trees and flowers that move and sway when kissed by the early morning breeze? Do we take time to really see the people we meet on our journey through life? Do we brighten their day with a smile and a kind word?
All these things were created by God for His glory. We were created to bring Him glory. He gives us life, breath, and everything else. He has established the time and place where we would live, even in Granbury. Our God is so Magnificent that we will never be able to wrap our minds around His grace or greatness. He is a God that loves each of us so deeply it should take our breath away and He desires a relationship with us. Although our finite minds cannot fully know or comprehend an infinite God like our Abba He has invited us to seek Him and to know Him. The prophet Jeremiah in chapter 33 verse 3 delivers an invitation from God. The Lord says, “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” If you accept His invitation He will never disappoint you.
Do we know God thinks about us and cares about every event in our lives?
Everything that touches the lives of His children is seen by our attentive Father and filtered through His fingers of love. We are not to despair when challenging times come our way but continue to trust Him. He is always working His plan for our good if we will only allow him to develop our character. His Holy Spirit will equip and empower us to move forward in the time and place of His choosing. Our faith and trust in the Father will deepen as we observe Him orchestrating His plan in our life and the lives of others. If we desire to know God we must have faith in Him. He alone is the object of our faith. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). This is what the ancients were commended for.” It is my prayer that someday we too will be commended for the faith we have in our Omnipotent God.
