Early voting for primary runoffs starts Monday, May 16

Early voting for the Tuesday, May 24 primary runoff elections starts Monday, May 16 and will run through Friday, May 20.

All early voting will take place at Annex 1, 1410 W. Pearl St.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

County Judge Ron Massingill, who is seeking a second term, will face off against fellow Republican Mark Shackelford.

There is also a runoff on the Republican ballot between Wayne Baker, Jr. and Stephen Barnett for Precinct 3 justice of the peace. Neither is an incumbent.

State races on the GOP ballot are for attorney general (Ken Paxton, George P. Bush), land commissioner (Dawn Buckingham, Tim Westley), and railroad commissioner (Wayne Christian, Sarah Stogner).

There are no local runoffs featuring Democrats.

State races on that ballot are for lieutenant governor (Michelle Beckley, Mike Collier), attorney general (Rochelle Mercedes Garza, Joe Jaworski), comptroller (Angel Luis Vega, Janet T. Dudding), and land commissioner (Sandragrace Martinez, Jay Kleberg).

Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The following Vote Centers will be open on Election Day:

  • Annex 1, 1410 W. Pearl St.
  • First Baptist Church, 1851 Weatherford Highway.
  • Pecan Activity Center, 9145 Plantation Dr.
  • Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1400 N. Meadows Dr.
  • St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 2301 Acton Highway.
  • Acton United Methodist Church, 3433 Fall Creek Highway.
  • Generations Church, 5718 E. U.S. Highway 377.
  • Lipan Church of Christ, 119 N. Caddo.
  • Tolar Community Center, 120 Tolar Cemetery Road.

Those who vote on Election Day can cast their ballot at the location of their choice.
