GHS band excels in spring concert

Granbury High School held its band spring concert on Tuesday, May 18, in the Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.

The spring concert featured three performances each by the wind ensemble, concert and symphonic bands.

“We were very pleased with all of the bands’ performances, especially in light of the short amount of preparation time we had after our UIL concert and sight-reading evaluation in late April,” said GHS Band Director Mark Eastin.

Eastin said he was happy to be able to offer live musical performances this spring.

“This year has offered many challenges to all students at GHS and we have been so impressed with the resiliency and flexibility of our students,” he said. “It really is a testament to the wonderful students we have in our program.”

As for next school year, Eastin said he is excited to get back to a “normal performance schedule.”
