This was the scene at Walmart as Granbury Police were investigating what is believed to have been an accidental discharge of a firearm shortly before noon today (Wednesday, Jan. 5). Two people -- one adult and one infant -- were transported by air ambulance to a Fort Worth hospital, GPD Deputy Chief Cliff Andrews told the Hood County News, and there is "No threat to the public."

The investigation of the incident is still in progress, Andrews stated, but he emphasized that "There is no threat to the public." Andrews added that a single gunshot injured one adult and one infant, and both are being transported to an area hospital by air ambulance.
