A 35-year-old Granbury man is charged with a second-degree felony count Tuesday after being arrested while in possession of methamphetamine by members of the Hood County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.

Matthew Joe Herrera is charged with possession of a controlled substance, and was booked into the Hood County Jail after his arrest occurred at about 6 p.m.

“The charge stems from Herrera possessing over 15 grams of meth at the 1500 block of Morgan Street in Granbury,” Rose stated in an email.

Hererra was still in custody as of press time, with a bond set at $15,000, Rose added.
