The Granbury Theatre Company has announced shows for its 2020 Broadway on the Brazos season and is offering an early bird special on season tickets. Nine musicals and plays are on the calendar. They are: ■ “Father of the Bride,” Jan. 24-Feb. 9; ■ Mel Brooks’ “The Producers,” Feb. 21-March 22; ■ “Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” April 3-April 26; ■ “Greater Tuna,” May 15-May 31; ■ “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” June 12-July 12; ■ “Monty Python’s Spamalot,” Aug. 7-Aug. 30; ■ “Fiddler on the Roof,” Sept. 11-Oct. 11; ■ Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap,” Oct. 23-Nov. 8; and ■ A Christmas show, Nov. 27-Dec. 23. It has not yet been decided what that show will be. The holiday show will be available as an add-on purchase for season tickets. Season passes purchased through the early bird special are $250 for eight shows, Christmas show excluded. It is a savings of $30. Passes covering all nine shows are $280. The discount offer ends at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31. Theater supporters can also join GTC’s 20 in 20 Club. With a donation of $1,000, club members receive two season tickets and will be listed in all 2020 Broadway on the Brazos playbills as well as on the GTC website and social media. A portion of the donations will be tax deductible. Anyone wanting to join the 20 in 20 Club should not purchase season tickets but simply make the donation. The GTC will take it from there and issue the season passes. Tickets, including season passes, can be purchased online at www.granburytheatrecompany.org.
