Keller Williams day of service includes food and blood drive

Posted

There’s one day a year that agents from Keller Williams Realty stop selling property. Instead, their focus is on community.

Red Day is the time set aside to give back to the community at locations across the world.

Locally, volunteers from Keller Williams were taking shifts to manage a food drive and blood donations on May 14 at its office on Water’s Edge Road.

The Red Day service project included 230 agents from the Granbury, Stephenville and Weatherford offices.

KW spokeswoman Jacque Gordon said officials from Carter Mobile Blood Unit reported the blood supply was about to hit critical levels in North Texas. The supply received a boost from more than 75 donors during the blood drive.

Several truckloads of food items were also collected to distribute to local food pantries.

Clean up and renovations at Camp Crusis were part of a previous Red Day project for children.
