Lipan, Tolar move on in softball playoffs

Two of the three Hood County public high school softball teams won their first-round playoff games. District champion Tolar beat Meridian 12-2 Saturday afternoon, Lipan defeated Hamilton in two games (18-10, 19-14) and Granbury lost to Colleyville Heritage 1-0 and 7-0.

Lipan's and Tolar's next playoff games will be late next week. Details will be announced later.
