City recognizes Child Abuse Awareness Month

Posted

The Granbury City Council this week issued a proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month.

The proclamation acknowledges the “dedicated individuals” who work to protect children through such organizations as Mission Granbury, CASA of Hood and Somervell counties, the Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center, Kids’ Armor of Hope, the Hood County Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Hood County Sheriff’s Office and the Granbury Police Department.

CASA is an acronym for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASAs advocate for children in CPS cases.
