Man in stolen car eludes officers

Wednesday, June 12, 2019

A man in a stolen car eluded officers after a pursuit Saturday morning.

The driver took off after Granbury police tried to stop the vehicle on Highway 144, according to Police Chief Mitch Galvan.

A chase began, but when it got into Glen Rose, Somervell County sheriff’s deputies took the lead in the pursuit, Galvan said.

“They ended up losing sight of the vehicle before they reached the square in downtown Glen Rose and were not able to locate it after that,” Galvan said.

The white 2002 Lincoln four-door passenger car was reported stolen from Lamesa.
