New Beginnings

Posted

Most people in Hood County are familiar with Mission Granbury and the work they do in our community. From providing support to women coming out of domestic abuse situation to advocating for children, Mission Granbury has been a vital resource to hundreds of people throughout the years.

Recently, they decided to open a way for members of the community to give back while finding treasures of the “gently used” variety. New Beginnings Resale Shoppe & Boutique uses your donations to help support Mission Granbury, Inc. Revenues generated provide support for our seven programs, including CASA and the Ada Carey Center which is a domestic violence shelter for women and children.

Donations of clothing and household goods are also made available free of charge to qualifying clients through their voucher program. Due to limited space, all large donations such as furniture and appliances must be approved by the donations coordinator to ensure we have adequate space for the item and that it is in good, functional condition. New Beginnings cannot accept nonworking appliances, broken furniture or items that are too large for our space. More restrictions can be found on their website or facebook page.

You can support New Beginnings by both shopping the amazing inventory of donated items, donating items to the shop for resale or in the form of volunteering. Volunteer applications can be found online at www.missiongranbury. org/get_involved.
