Parade route set for Tolar graduating seniors Friday

A parade to honor Tolar High School’s 55 graduating seniors will be broadcast on Facebook Live as well as on 95.5 K-Hits.

The parade will take place from 7-8 p.m. Friday. The graduation ceremony was to have been held that night but has been pushed to late June due to COVID-19.

Social distancing will be maintained during the parade, according to organizer Jennifer Morris.

Tolar residents who live along the route are encouraged to show support for seniors by cheering and waving as their vehicles pass by.

David and Donnie Wood of Advanced Promotions will serve as parade hosts and will be stationed at Tolar High School. They will announce each senior, according to Morris.

The parade will depart from Tolar High and travel this route:

Left on 7th up to Tolar Junior High School and Tolar Elementary School, passing through the elementary school’s pickup line.

From there: left on Hwy. 56; left on Hwy. 377 through town; right on Peach; right on 4th; across Tolar Highway over to Oak; right on Oak; right on 6th; right on Elm; left on 1st; left on Pine; right on 6th; across Tolar Highway to Cedar, turning right toward the Parkview Addition; left on Parkview Circle and out the back entrance; right on Tolar Highway to 377; cross 377; right on 7th, returning to Tolar High School at about 8 p.m.
