Pet project

Posted

Did you trade a co-worker who liked sharing buffalo wings for one whose breath smells like Blue Buffalo?

Does your new associate climb onto your lap to eyeball what’s on your computer screen?

Does your office mate’s toilet habits involve a box instead of a bathroom?

If so, hopefully that means you’re working from home and have pets. Either that, or you really need to visit HR.

As shelter-at-home orders continue at least through the end of April, everyone needs a reason to smile and your beloved pet could be that reason.

If you are among those now being required to work from home, send us a photo of you and your pet for publication. We may even do an online popularity contest later.

Please follow these instructions:

■ The photo must include you, not just your pet.

■ You must be working from home, and we ask that the photo be taken in your home work space.

■ Email the photo to pets@hcnews.com, but please attach the photo rather than imbed it in the email.

■ Include this information in your email: your name; your company, title and type of work you are doing from home; and your pet’s name.

Special thanks go to the Granbury Independent School District, which got us off to a great start (see photos, P.5).

We received so many responses from GISD employees that we were not able to use them all in this issue. We will get around to them, though.

All Hood County businesses and their employees are invited to participate. It’s a great way to let the community get to know you and to see that, even though your doors may be temporarily closed, you are definitely still working.
