Porn, revenge outlined

Posted

A former Granbury woman sexually involved with a couple was strangled to death after their relationship soured, according to the arrest complaint.

The body of Traci Leigh Jones, 41, of Dublin, was found June 20 inside a 50-gallon tote box floating in Kentucky Lake.

Jeffrey Kenneth Rogers, 60, of Fort Worth, was arrested and charged in Jones’ death.

Rogers told investigators he and his wife, Tammy Rogers, a former Arlington ISD principal, were engaged in the production of pornography with the victim.

“But the relationship significantly deteriorated in recent months for a combination of reason(s). One of the factors causing the demise of the relationship had to do with the victim contacting news stations and the Arlington ISD about the porn production business,” according to the complaint.

The complaint included the following:

The victim was fearful of Rogers and his wife, believing they would harm her to prevent her from releasing information about the three of them.

Rogers admitted causing the victim’s death in Texas after leaving a Holiday Inn in Stephenville.

Surveillance video shows him buying a Craftsman tote at Lowe’s in Burleson. The tote was in the back of his pickup when he and his wife drove to Kentucky to visit family.

Rogers rented a pontoon boat in Tennessee for half a day. A video showed him loading a container into the boat.

The recovery of the body was in Kentucky, but it is believed the body was dumped in Tennessee and floated into Kentucky.

Rogers said his wife was not involved in Jones’ death.

“I own it, and Tammy had nothing to do with it,” he said.

He also told investigators, “I have the pieces to the puzzle you need.”
