Rattlers win over Jacksboro
The Tolar Rattlers controlled Jacksboro for four quarters and came away with a 64-45 home win Friday.
Tolar jumped out to a 21-13 lead after the first quarter thanks to active hands on the defense end that pressured Jacksboro into turnovers. The Rattlers took efficient shots, with seven of their eight makes coming on either three-pointers or layups.
At halftime, Tolar led 32-23, and the Rattlers built on that lead with an 11-2 run to start the third quarter. Tolar took a 52-34 lead into the fourth quarter and cruised to its second District 7-3A win.
Matt Moody scored 22 points in the game and hit four three-pointers. He scored at least five points in every quarter.
Seth Carroll wasn’t far behind, scoring 20 points of his own. Mason Behrens added 12, Cobi Cruz had eight and Derian Morphew had two.
The Rattlers were 15-7 (2-1 in district) after the win. Tolar hosted Boyd Tuesday and will travel to Millsap for a 7:30 p.m. tip on Friday.
