A 34-year-old Granbury man is facing three felony charges in connection with a Jan. 15 disturbance call from Whippoorwill Drive in the Whippoorwill Bay subdivision involving two small children and a 34-year-old woman, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Johnny Rose said.

“Deputies discovered Blaine Lee Lejeune allegedly assaulted his 34-year-old girlfriend and two small children (ages 3 and 4) during an argument,” Rose stated in an email to the HCN. “No one was seriously injured during the incident.”

That was not the end of the story, however, as Lejeune left the scene in a vehicle.

“Lejeune, who fled the scene intoxicated, crashed into a home at the 300 block of Cockatoo Road,” Rose added. Rose noted that no one was injured in that crash, which happened in the same subdivision.

“Lejeune was arrested and charged with family violence assault with previous conviction (third-degree felony, $15,000 bond), two counts of injury to a child (third-degree felony, $15,000 bond), and driving while intoxicated (Class A misdemeanor, $2,000 bond).”
