Sheriff: Weatherford man arrested with 6.8 grams of meth

A 61-year-old Weatherford man is charged with a second-degree felony after Hood County Sheriff’s Office deputies found 6.8 grams of methamphetamine before arresting him during a traffic stop on Friday, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.

“During the stop John Douglas Beattie was found to be in possession of 6.8 grams of meth,” Rose stated in an email. “Beattie was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.”

Beattie’s bail amount was set at $20,000, Rose noted.
