Sheriff's office: Man with PVC pipe hits girlfriend

A 60-year-old Granbury man was charged with family violence aggravated assault after allegedly using a PVC pipe to hit his 44-year-old girlfriend in the throat. She was airlifted to a Fort Worth hospital and later released in fair condition.

Mark Elton Myers was jailed but later released after posting bond. The incident occurred Monday night, April 12, on West Weems Court off Highway 377 East.
