The Tolar Rattlers won their first
basketball playoff game in 14 years
with a 61-35 win over Hamilton in
the opening round of the playoffs
Saturday afternoon at Dublin High
School.
Rattlers head coach Ethan Lunn
called the win “huge” for the Tolar
boys basketball program.
The Rattlers lost to Childress last
year in the first round.
“These guys have just bought into
the team concept and have worked
so hard over the last couple of
years trying to take that next step
towards becoming a great team,”
Lunn said.
“For them to finally see the fruits
of that labor and experience that
feeling of winning a playoff game
is a lot of fun for me as a coach. I
remember what it was like when I
played, and to be able to share that
with them now as they are experiencing
it for the first time is an awesome
feeling.”
